  16. got severe probs with Motorola Power (Rom ver 4) and win95 Dial-up-network  
  17. (BTW: This concernes only by PAP Password authentication protocol):

  19. 1. When I do use dial-up-network connect message is only `connect-speed`  
  20. though \V4 is activated (and errorcontrol + compression, too).

  22. 2. My Modem log shows following strange lines:

  25. 03-03-1996 18:40:35.43 - Connection established at 28800bps.

  30. This is only while using dial-up-network, when dialling via dos-terminal  
  31. program to same number, message shows `28800/V34/V42bis`
  32.  
  33. 3. My PAP TCP/IP connection is very often not established due to the  
  34. following fact:

  41. Now 17 sec. vanish without win95 activating PPP-Protocol, remote modem  
  42. server waits 10 sec. for activation of ppp, if this does not happen userID  
  43. and password will be asked for, if remote modem gets no response it will  
  44. hang up. As it happens here and so many times:

  49. I even tried multi: I`ve tried at&F, &f1, z, I even changed the  
  50. mdmmoto.inf to the only inits atz\v4 (profile follows) and v42 fast detect  
  51. disabled \m
